  The Town of Ramseur is looking for an individual or group of individuals to volunteer to be responsible for Parks and Rec for kid's sports. The individual will be responsible for utilities and maintaining the ball field. Please contact Town Hall at 336-824-4111 to show interest or further conversation.  

Special Events:

Story time: The Ramseur Public Library offers a Preschool Story Time program each Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. during the months of September through May. Story Time expands during the months of June and July to include children of all ages and is held Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the Ramseur Municipal Building located at 724 Liberty Street. Ramseur Concerts at the Lake Series:
The Kermit G. Pell Water-Based Recreation Facility (Ramseur Lake), located at 549 Ramseur Lake Road, provides a beautiful setting for our Concerts at the Lake Series. Presented by the Town of Ramseur, these FREE concerts are held in June, July, August and September from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pack your picnic basket and come enjoy a great evening of bluegrass with family and friends.

Main Street Cruise-In: Ramseur's Main Street Cruise-In will be held downtown from 4:00 until dark on the second Saturday of May through September. Please join us with your muscle cars, hot rods, and classics, or just come on down for a look see! Non-perishable food item donations for the Ramseur Food Pantry are much appreciated. Barry T. Richardson Youth Fishing Tournament: The Kermit G. Pell Water Based Recreation Facility (Ramseur Lake), located at 549 Ramseur Lake Road , hosts its annual Barry T. Richardson Youth Fishing Tournament each August. Sponsored by area businesses and individuals, the tournament is open to youth ages 5 to 15 and offers prizes for winners in two age groups. Fall Festival: Ramseur's Annual Fall Festival – “A Day on Main Street” – is held the third Saturday of October (October 15) and features live music, great food, local arts and crafts, and games for the kids. Christmas on Roller Mill Hill: -Christmas Tree Lighting- The Ramseur Area Civitans will sponsor and promote the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event. The event, featuring Christmas Carols and a visit from Santa Claus, will take place on Roller Mill Hill in Downtown Ramseur on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 from 5:00pm-until. Christmas Parade: The Town of Ramseur will host Ramseur’s annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10th at 5:00pm - until. We are combining the Christmas Parade with the Christmas Tree Lighting. The Parade is fun for the entire family and features a visit from Santa atop the Fire Department’s original 1939 Ford fire truck.
